So, I thought I would put together an FAQ page that might help answer some questions that you all might have.. Especially if you're new to couponing, these might help. Always feel free to send me a msg and let me know if you have any other questions not addressed here. Thanks for your support! We couldn't do it without you!
(1) If you have a manufacturer coupon and store coupon, which one do you hand the cashier first?
~It's suggested that you hand the cashier always the manufacturer coupon first, then the store coupon so you won't have any issues and hear the dreaded "BEEP"!
(2) How many newspapers should you purchase?
~ Different Bloggers suggest different quantities but I say (1) newspaper per every member of your household should be enough to get the most deals and "bang for your buck".. If you don't have a big household then I suggest a minimum of at least (4) newspapers so that you can at least have enough for (2) B1G1 deals.. You can always prepare ahead by catching the coupon preview a few days before the Sunday paper is out..
(3) Where can we find coupons?
~ Well, the first place to get your coupons is usually the Sunday newspaper. Most Sunday newspapers will have anything from (1) up to sometimes (6) inserts.. the usual ones are (SS-SmartSource & RP-Redplum) then you'll on occasion also see (P&G-Proctor & Gamble, GM-General Mills) and then you'll also see a Publix Supermarket circular w/coupons, Dollar General circulars and sometimes you'll even get coupons in the Parade and/or US Weekly... Now you can also get coupons in ALL YOU magazine which is found in your local newsstand or magazine section in your grocery store/superstores or save more money and become a subscriber. We bloggers usually post great money saving deals on subscriptions, just keep your eyes peeled
You can also get Printable coupons right here on Diclajia's Daily Deals.. Just check out our Printable Coupons section and see the list of all the latest and updated list of Printable coupons brought to you by Coupons.com, Coupon Network or Redplum.. Our you can download your coupons straight to your rewards cards through Saving Star and you can always see an updated list of the available coupons on our e-coupons page.
(4) If we have expired coupons that we didn't get to use, what do you recommend doing with them?
~ Well, there are plenty of military families that can definitely use the savings. They can use the coupons up to (6) months after they've expired. You can send them to Coups for Troops the Carolinas and they will sort out the coupons and send them to military families that are on their lists or you can even write them to be partnered with a family that you can send to directly. It's recommended that you send only manufacturer coupons because they can not use coupons with store logos on them.
(5) How do you get (2) items Free when you use a B1G1 Free Coupon on a B1G1 Free Deal?
~ With B1G1 sales if you use a B1G1 coupon then you don’t have to pay anything. I know it’s sounds a bit confusing but basically the Free item you are getting with the coupon covers the item you would have paid for. So for example, say there’s a sale on Deodorant for B1G1 Free…you’re getting (2) deodorants and since you have a coupon for a FREE one and the sale is for a FREE one then both end up being FREE. Hope that helps!
(6) What's the Best way to organize the coupons if you don't have a coupon binder?
~ Well, there's many ways you can organize your coupons. You can use a File Box or Cabinet with hanging file folders, label the folders with categories such as ( H&B-Health & Beauty, Frozen Foods, Cleaning, Dairy, etc.) and then use ziplock baggies to put your coupons in and then put the baggie in it's appropriate folder. You can also use a 'coupon purse' (organizer) let's say you are ready to go shopping, you're not going to take the whole file cabinet with you, lol.. So you sort out your Sales with the coupons you're going to use and then put them in your carry on coupon organizer which you can throw in your purse and have your coupons handy. Those coupon organizers already come with tabs that you can do the same by labeling the sections by categories. (Click on the links to see (2) different types of portable coupon organizers)
